Most Popular Recipes of 2017

Happy New Year! Hope 2017 has treated you well.

I have been rootling through my blog statistics for the year, to see what 2017's top ten most popular recipes are. Much like last year, slow cooker recipes feature heavily. Read on to see which recipes made the list, along with some 2017 blog stats.

1. Slow Cooker Leek and Potato Soup

Also last year's most popular recipe, it's easy to make and very comforting in winter. My slow cooker leek and potato soup recipe is also the most-visited recipe on the blog ever.

This one was also very popular in 2016, but has maintained its popularity consistently over this year. Another winter warmer for your collection.

3. Mini Cheese and Onion Quiches

This was a new recipe for 2017 and was popular right from the start. Perfect for buffets and parties, they are little parcels of cheesy deliciousness.

This was one of my first recipes and is a bit of a personal favourite. As a bonus, it's very good on the calorie front; great for slimmers.

5. Ultimate Cheat's Banoffee Pie

This was the only dessert recipe in the top list for last year too, and has continued to be popular through this year. I'm sure it's because it's one of the easiest desserts to whip up at short notice!

6.  Cajun Chicken and Bacon Traybake

One of my 'quick dinner' recipes and Slimming World Friendly too, Cajun Chicken and Bacon traybake went viral on Pinterest early this year and hasn't really faded since then.

7. Oaty Banana Muffins

The only one of my cake recipes in this year's list, oaty banana muffins also went viral on Pinterest early in the year and has remained popular. They make a great after-school snack for kids as they aren't as sweet as other cakes and muffins. Also great for using up those slightly browned bananas.

A new recipe this year, it's a throw it all in, one pot meal.

Also a new recipe this year, beef and butternut squash stew has grown steadily in popularity through Autumn and Winter.

And finally, the second soup on the list sneaks in at number 10. A classic flavour combination, I think it's the fact it's a slow cooker soup that has made it popular.

It looks like I need to get some more slow cooker recipes up for 2018!
